CyberThreats247 aggregates cybersecurity news from 19 trusted sources — Krebs on Security, BleepingComputer, The Hacker News, Dark Reading, CISA, Mandiant, Microsoft Threat Intelligence, and more — into a single real-time feed. Built for SOC analysts, CISOs, pen testers, and security-minded professionals who need signal, not noise.
The app is free to download. An optional Pro subscription unlocks deeper threat intelligence features including detailed APT group profiles, shareable threat cards, and category-specific push notifications (coming soon).
Getting Started
Open the app and the latest cybersecurity news loads automatically. Pull down on the feed to refresh. Tap the filter chips at the top to narrow by category — APT, Nation State, Zero-Day, Ransomware, and more. Tap any article card to read a summary, then tap "Read Full Article" to open the original publisher's website in your browser.
No. CyberThreats247 has no accounts and no login. There's nothing to sign up for. Your bookmarks and source preferences are stored locally on your device and never transmitted anywhere.
Features
The app aggregates public RSS feeds from 19 trusted cybersecurity sources, including Krebs on Security, BleepingComputer, The Hacker News, Dark Reading, CISA, Mandiant, Microsoft Threat Intelligence, Google TAG, Cisco Talos, Palo Alto Unit 42, SentinelLabs, and several cybersecurity YouTube channels. All content links back to the original publisher — we don't host or rewrite articles.
The app automatically detects when articles reference known nation-state threat groups — Volt Typhoon, APT28, Lazarus, Fancy Bear, and others — and tags them with their country of attribution. Tap any red APT tag on an article to see the threat group profile (Pro feature).
The threat level is derived from the volume of new articles published across all 19 sources in the last 24 hours: Low (0–4 articles), Guarded (5–9), Elevated (10–19), High (20–34), Severe (35+). This is a rough heuristic — always consult primary sources for critical operational decisions.
Yes. Tap the bookmark icon on any article card to save it. Saved articles appear in the Bookmarks view, accessible from the bookmark icon in the top-left of the main feed. Bookmarks are stored locally on your device.
Yes. Open Settings (gear icon, top-right of the main feed) and scroll to the "Sources" section. Toggle off any sources you don't want in your feed. Your preferences are saved locally and persist between sessions.
Pro Subscription
Pro ($4.99/month or $39.99/year) unlocks: detailed APT group profiles with attribution, aliases, known targets, and recent activity; shareable branded threat cards you can post to LinkedIn, Slack, or Twitter; and category-specific push notifications (coming soon). The base app — all 19 news feeds — is free forever.
Tap "Upgrade to Pro" in Settings, or tap any APT tag on a news article and then tap "Learn More" on the profile teaser card. You'll be taken to the in-app paywall where you can choose monthly or annual billing.
Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple. To cancel: open iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → CyberThreats247 → Cancel Subscription. You'll retain Pro access through the end of your current billing period.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund directly from Apple. We have no visibility into or control over individual purchase transactions.
Not currently. The entire news experience — all 19 feeds, filters, bookmarks, and the threat level indicator — is free with no time limit. Pro is an optional upgrade for deeper threat intelligence tools, and there's no pressure to subscribe.
Privacy & Data
None. CyberThreats247 does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Bookmarks and source preferences are stored locally on your device and never leave it. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
No. The app is ad-free. We don't believe in interrupting threat intelligence with advertising.
No. There are no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no behavioral monitoring, and no advertising identifiers. The app has zero third-party trackers. The only network requests the app makes are to fetch RSS feeds from the 19 publishers.
Troubleshooting
First, confirm you have an active internet connection. Then pull down on the feed to force a refresh. If that doesn't work, close the app completely (swipe up from the bottom of your screen and swipe the app card away), then reopen it. If the feed still won't load after that, email us at echo.whiskey@gmail.com with your iOS version and a description of what you're seeing.
RSS feeds from individual publishers can go temporarily offline — this is outside our control. The app gracefully skips any feed that fails to load, so the rest of your feed will work normally. This is expected behavior. If a specific source is consistently missing over several days, let us know and we'll investigate.
Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that originally purchased Pro. Then tap "Restore Purchase" at the bottom of the paywall screen. If the subscription still doesn't activate, try force-quitting and relaunching the app. If none of that works, email us with your Apple ID (the address, not your password) and we'll look into it.
Bookmarks are stored locally on your device, not on any server. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, the bookmarks were removed along with it — this is intentional, and part of our privacy-first design (we never touch your data). Unfortunately, local bookmarks can't be recovered after an uninstall. We understand that's frustrating, and it's something we may address in a future release.
